
Experience
Before joining Polley Faith, Asli summered and articled with the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission, where she was an integral member of multiple investigation and litigation teams on various litigation matters, including fraud, insider trading, registrant and reporting issuer misconduct, and a successful appeal before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Divisional Court).
Education and Memberships
Asli obtained her Juris Doctor from University of Toronto Faculty of Law with distinction standing in her final year. She is also a graduate of McGill University, holding a Bachelor of Arts (High Honours and Dean’s List) in Political Science and Economics, where she conducted research on climate change economics.
During law school, Asli was a research assistant with a focus on international constitutional law and she served as a member of a pro bono clinic assisting Ontario-based creators with issues relating to contracts and copyright. Originally from Turkey, Asli is a published author and her book has been translated into multiple languages.
Asli was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020.
