Avram is building a diverse practice in litigation. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Avram summered and completed his articles with Polley Faith, where he worked on a wide-range of litigation matters, including civil, commercial, and regulatory litigation, as well as criminal and quasi-criminal defence.
Avram obtained his Juris Doctor from University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he received several awards for his academic standing, including the Laskin Prize for the highest standing in Constitutional law. Avram was also named as a top oralist in the Davies Corporate and Securities Moot, where his team placed first. While at University of Toronto, Avram was an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Law and International Relations, as well as a tutor for the Academic Success Program.
Education and Memberships
Before law school, Avram obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University, where he graduated with distinction. He then worked for a number of years at a major Canadian bank in the personal lending group.
Avram was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. He is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the Ontario Bar Association.
