David was called to the Ontario bar in 2014. Prior to joining Polley Faith, David practiced in the litigation group at a national Bay Street law firm.
David has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Ontario, in arbitration and mediation proceedings, and has advised institutional and individual clients in connection with investigations and proceedings brought by securities regulators in Ontario. He has acted on behalf of a wide variety of clients, including government agencies, national financial institutions, corporations in many different industries and individuals.
In 2018, David completed a secondment at a large banking institution, supporting and advising the institution’s many business lines in respect of potential or actual litigation
David obtained his J.D. from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, receiving prizes in insurance law and corporate transactions. Prior to attending law school, David obtained a Master of Arts from New York University (Humanities and Social Thought) and a Bachelor of Arts (Cum Laude, Philosophy) from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
David is a member of the Advocates’ Society, Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario.
