Tim Wood is an associate at Polley Faith where his practice includes civil, regulatory and criminal matters. Tim was previously a litigation and arbitration associate at Allen & Overy LLP in Paris and, before practicing law, served as legislative assistant to the Hon. Irwin Cotler MP in Ottawa.
Tim has been appointed to international election observation missions of the European Union, the Organization of American States and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Fluent in French, Tim holds a Master’s in International Law from the Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement in Geneva, and Bachelors of Law and Civil Law from McGill University. He graduated from McGill with Great Distinction and won the Montréal Bar Association Prize.
Tim’s peer-reviewed publications have appeared in the Journal of International Arbitration, the Harvard Human Rights Journal, the International Criminal Law Review and the ICSID Review—Foreign Investment Law Journal (Oxford University Press).
Admissions and Memberships
Tim was called to the New York Bar in 2010 and to the Ontario Bar in 2017. He is a member of the Advocates’ Society, the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society, l'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario, and the Canadian Bar Association.
